The Information Display (ID) from Navico (B&G, Simrad, Lowrance) is like a Multi-Function Display (MFD) except its ‘brains’ aren’t incorporated in the unit, but in a centralised hub that can be fitted in a different location.

The ID looks like an MFD, and can be used and set up in the same way.

It could be fitted on a wheel binnacle, giving the user all the data they require in one place, on one display.

The centralised hub does all the processing and can output to a number of Information Displays.

It uses WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity along
with USB, CANbus and NMEA 2000, giving
access to the yacht’s
onboard systems.

The Navico Information Display costs from £995 and is available from www.navico.com
