A Dutch fishing boat, Jacoba, has smashed into rocks at Lamorna Cove west of Penzance sustaining a 6 ft gash along the port bow.

The Pen Lee lifeboat is hoping to assist in her re-floating on the next tide. They are standing by her four-strong British crew.

The 90 ft craft has leaked diesel fuel into the surrounding waters.
