Sailors who enjoy adventurous cruising can meet the experienced sailors and authors who write the RCCPF pilot books at the Southampton Boat Show

The RCC (Royal Cruising Club) Pilotage Foundation, who author many popular Pilots, familiar to most cruising sailors, will be available for visitors to the Southampton Boat Show to seek and offer advice, or just chat about their experiences.

On Friday 11 to Sunday 13, between 1400 and 1600 Peter Carnegie the author of the recently published Channel Islands, Cherbourg Peninsular & North Brittany, will be also available to sign your own copy, or just talk about sailing in the area. This is a favourite cruising ground for cruising sailors, and this recently published pilot is proving popular as it covers such a large area in just one book.

On Wednesday 16 to Saturday 19, author Henry Buchanan will be on the Southampton Boat Show stand to sign and talk about his recent edition of the pilot, Atlantic Spain and Portugal.  For local cruisers in this area, or for those planning cruises between more northern European coasts and the Mediterranean, this book will be a ‘must have’ on the bookshelves of such boats.

The RCC Pilotage Foundation is the Charity, sponsored by the Royal Cruising Club, which coordinates the authoring of many of the pilots in everyday use for sailing in many parts of the world. In addition to the above books, recent titles are Arctic and Northern Waters, Islas Baleares,  South Biscay, Corsica and North Sardinia, and Mediterranean Spain, Costa del Sol and Blanca, and e-book  Cruising Guide to the Coast of Brazil by Peter Hill.

At the Southampton Boat Show the RCC Pilotage Foundation is pleased to be sharing the Royal Institute of Navigation’s stand J075.
