New Cowes Week ferry service

Scoot Ferries is giving the Red Jet and Wight Link a run for its money this year as it opens a new foot passenger ferry service between Hamble and Cowes. From Sunday 7 August to Sunday 16 August, Scoot’s cat will power between the south side of Trinity Landing, off Cowes Parade, across the Solent to Hamble Town Quay in under 30 minutes. A single costs £15 and a return £25 and booking is recommended, on www.scootferries.co.uk

The first service leaves Cowes at 0530, then Hamble at 0600, and this continues every half-hour until the last ferry, which leaves Hamble at 0200.

Scoot has big plans too. It’s opening a service between Yarmouth and Lymington in September 2015, a full-time Hamble-Cowes service in May 2016 and a new Portsmouth to Cowes link on October 2016. It’s likely that, by that time, Scoot’s ferries might have a touch of branding about them.
