Following investment of nearly half a million pounds over the winter, Plymouth Yacht Haven has been awarded five Gold Anchors by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA), for the second year in a row.

The Gold Anchor award is given for the quality, service and overall standard of a marina, and five Anchors is the top award, much as stars are given to restaurants and hotels. Over the winter 2014-2015 Plymouth Yacht Haven invested almost £400,000 in luxury shoreside facilities, which Marina Manager Laura Whinney hopes will ‘rival the best in the UK for quality and luxury.’

Laura said, ‘This award is truly for our staff all of whom work really hard to treat every boat as though it is their own in order to provide the best possible service.’

Plymouth now has four marinas with the highest Golden Anchor award. Plymouth Yacht Haven is part of Yacht Havens Group. which also owns largs Yacht Haven and Lymington Yacht Haven.
