Ocean Safety sign up to Ambassador Scheme

Ocean Safety has thrown its weight behind the RNLI’s Ambassador Scheme, offering customers free membership to the charity when buying safety equipment.

Liferafts and EPIRBs are among the items included in the deal, which also includes liferaft servicing at one of Ocean Safety‘s bases in Southampton, Plymouth and Glasgow.

Richard Devereux, RNLI leisure marine marketing manager, said: ‘As a charity, we rely on donations to fund the lifesaving work of our volunteer crews and I’d like to thank Ocean Safety for their continued and renewed support.

‘By signing up to give regular donations, RNLI members provide us with a reliable form of financial support that allows us to continue to save lives at sea and plan for the future.

‘I’m very grateful to Ocean Safety, who have helped us recruit more regular supporters over the last few years and look forward to continuing to work closely with them in their role as ambassadors for the RNLI in the future.’

Charlie Mill, of Ocean Safety, added: ‘We are delighted to strengthen our support of the RNLI Offshore membership, by adding liferaft servicing into our agreement with the RNLI.

‘We regularly see liferafts in a bad state of repair and cannot emphasise enough the importance of regular servicing at an authorised station.’
